Too many "fat food" restaurants in Cottage GroveDoes Cottage Grove really need a Culvers? We surely don't want to build a Gold's Gym and get rid of a blighted building and get water and sewer to that area paid for. But, by God we need a Culvers! Not enough places to get fat in Cottage Grove yet. Our kids are suffering from obesity and high blood pressure yet Cottage Grove doesn't have a community center. Teenagers are running amok burning down porta potties yet no community center. Why doesn't the city council find a way to buy the Home Depot building and convert it into a communtiy center? I'm all for that. Our kids desperately need more outlets for exercise and a place to gather besides the parking lots of the fat food restaurants. Thank you and don't park in the fire lanes. -Joe

That's my letter to the editor that appeared in the South Washington County Bulletin newspaper today.

Training: Vo2 Max- Dane of Pain protocol with swings- h2h, one handed & snatches- 158 reps in 9:45 minutes. Mostly sets f 8. 15 sec on 15 sec off. Kind of glad I stopped when I did. Save some energy for another day. Better to undertrain than overtrained, drained and strained!
